An Adventure in the Working World

Today, I went to work with my mom. I was really excited about going to work with my mom, but I didn't want to go anymore when she woke me up at 6:00 a.m. It took me awhile to wake up, but I was happy when I went outside. It feels really good outside today! I'm hoping the cooler temperatures will last for awhile.

 

It took forever to get to her work! The traffic was really aggravating, but we had great conversations on the way to work. When we got to work, I helped file paperwork and enter stuff into the computer. I think it is pretty fun. I love typing on the computer! Other than that, it has been really boring! I can't wait to start my weekend!



 

 

 

An Adventure of a Football Saturday

Today was my first football Saturday. My parents hosted a kickoff party at their house. My mom is an Alabama fan, and my dad is an Auburn fan. This made the party a lot of fun, because they were able to invite all of their football friends. Mom and dad worked hard all day preparing for the party. Dad cut grass and cooked hamburgers. Mom cleaned house and made cheese dip, pizza rolls, and cookies. 

After stuffing our tummies, we all started watching the Auburn game in the living room. Auburn played Clemson. At 7, mom kicked the Auburn fans out of the living room, so she could watch the Alabama game. Alabama was playing Michigan at the Cowboy Stadium in Texas. I really wish I could have gone to the game! Alabama won their game, but Auburn lost their game. Win or lose, we all had a great time!

A Lunch Adventure

Today, I went with my mom, her classmates, and their flat friends to the Commons to eat lunch. Dr. Burns let class out early, so we were able to go to lunch sooner than we thought! I was super happy, because I was so hungry. Hurricane Isaac is making the weather really nasty here. I was glad that we got out early, because we were able to walk to the Commons before the rain started.

The Commons wasn't too crowded today. I was really craving a cheeseburger, so we went to the grill. The workers were so nice and funny! I decided to get a couple of cookies, because I was so hungry. My mom's friends are so funny. We talked about their school work, Honey Boo Boo, and Dance Moms. I love watching Honey Boo Boo, but I missed the new episode last night. Lunch was a lot of fun. I hope I can eat with them again.

My Adventure of Wedding Planning!!

Today was very exciting, because I was able to help my new mom plan for her wedding! I could tell my mom was nervous about this trip. I think she was worried her sister would not like any of the dresses. We went to Alfred Angelo to pick out a dress for her Maid of Honor. Her mom, uncle, sister, and nephew went with us to pick out the dress. It was nice to find the store was really cold, because it was HOT outside!

The trip was pretty short. Her sister liked the first dress she tried on and refused to try on anymore. It is really pretty! I hope I will get to see the wedding and all the dresses together! After we picked out the dress, we went to Nothing But Noodles. I wish we would have went to Yogurt Mountain though. Overall, I think the day went really well.

An Adventure at the REC

Today, I went with my mom and two of her classmates to the REC to workout. One of mom's classmates brought her daughter too. We exercised on a lot of equipment together. My favorite exercise machine was the treadmill. I can really fly on that thing!

I saw a really cool looking pool there. I really hope we can swim in there one day, but I don't know if they let paper dolls swim there. I think I'm going to read some more information about the pool on the REC's website. You can look too to learn more about the REC.
